A Tissue Fixative which contains a mixture of formalin, picric acid and glacial acetic acid.
Particularly useful for trichrome connective tissue stains.
Ideal for the fixation of glycogen, lymph nodes, and proteins, and for Trichrome Stains.
Acts as a fixative and mordant, but can also lyses red blood cells.

Formaldehyde: <25%
Acetic Acid: <1%
Hazard Phrases: Harmful if swallowed. Harmful in contact with skin. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Suspected of causing cancer . Causes damage to organs .
Prec Phrases:Â Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapours/spray. IF INHALED: Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. IF exposed: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.
