Chalk has many uses, but not all chalk is the same substance. This guide shows you how to make your own DIY chalk.

You will need:

• 16-32 (1-2 Cups) of Calcium Carbonate
• 4 Tablespoons of Water (warm/hot water)
• 1 quarter of satin paint

STEP 1

Add 1-2 cups of Calcium Carbonate to 4 tablespoons of hot water and mix well.

STEP 2

Once it becomes smooth paste then add 1 quart of paint and mix well. Spread into the mould of your choice. Your DIY Chalk Paint is now ready.

Top Tip: If you would like a smooth surface you could use grit sand paper to sand the surface.
