  • Water
  • Black felt
  • White felt
  • Red felt
  • Glue
  • Black permanent pen

STEP 1

Start off by making Dracula. Using black, white, and red felt, make an outfit similar to the image above. Use the black felt to cut out a cape and glue to the back of the bottle. Cut an oval out of white felt to make a shirt and finally cut a small red bow tie and stick to the top of the white felt.

STEP 2

On a balloon, draw Dracula’s face with a black permanent pen.

STEP 3

Using a funnel, add 1 teaspoon of citric acid to the bottle. Next, use the funnel to add 1 teaspoon of Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate.

STEP 4

Stretch the balloon over the mouth of the bottle and let the baking soda fall into the water mixture in the bottle. Watch your Count Pop-ula expand! *To avoid mess, try this step outside*

THE METHOD BEHIND THE EXPERIMENT
