This guide will show you two different ways to make slime – one being made with Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) 5% Solution and the other Epsom Salt. This is the perfect activity for Halloween and looks awesome being in a bowl around the house as decoration.

SODIUM TETRABORATE (BORAX) SLIME

You Will Need:

STEP 1

Pour the hot water into a medium-sized bowl. (The water doesn’t need to be boiling hot, but should be warm to touch).

STEP 2

Add the clear glue. Choose non-toxic glue especially if children are handling the slime.

STEP 3

Add the glow-in-the-dark paint and stir to combine. You can find glow-in-the-dark paint in most craft stores.

STEP 4

Add the Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) 5% Solution to the separate bowl of hot water and stir to combine.

STEP 5

Mix in the borax solution. Gradually begin to add the Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) 5% Solution into the paint solution at a time, stirring continuously, until desired consistency is achieved.

STEP 6

Store in a zipper bag or an airtight container. If the slime is not stored properly, it will begin to dry out.

STEP 7

Your glow-in-the-dark slime is now ready to use!

EPSOM SALT SLIME

You will need

  • 1 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 cup liquid glue

STEP 3

Add the craft paint. Stir the mixture to combine and continue stirring until the desired consistency is achieved.
